Let’s talk about Fashion …

28 May

I love a good fashion show and this year’s annual Gusto Fashion Show did not disappoint!

It is always a great opportunity to glam up, catch up with friends and have a bite to eat and a drink, plus you can get a real insight into the current seasonal trends at the same time!

This time around, it was the talented Jen from Moo Boutique in Heaton Moor who sent the lovely models down the runway, with the aid of Terence Paul Hairdressers in Didsbury. Make-up artist for the evening was  Leanne Rose. The models certainly appeared to be revelling in the fun as they strutted their stuff.

The event was a sell out and, as usual, local businesses supported the event by supplying some fantastic raffle prizes. This resulted in an amazing £1,385 being raised for the Red Cross.

So on to the fashion. You really should pay Moo Boutique a visit some time! I popped in recently and the choice is amazing. If you have a special occasion to go to, you can literally leave the shop with a whole, complete outfit from the dress, to the shoes, to the handbag and the jewellery. And Jen is always on hand to give some styling advice should you need it.

Here are my favourite outfits of the evening:

I loved this Penny Black graphic print silk top. Graphic prints are so ontrend this season and the simple shape really highlights the skyscraper design. It really suited the model’s colouring and looked so fresh teamed with stone trousers and a colour pop sandal.

Next up, Wowsers! This butterfly graphic print dress is called “Some Like it Hot” by Me & Thee and you can see why! The super soft stretch jersey dress means it really did cling in all the right places and emphasised the model’s tiny waist! And just look at that hair!

Finally, our Lady in Red. This Terrible Twins maxi dress is just gorgeous! This is a simple but sexy full length dress with a twist. This show stopping dress is sleeveless and has a sheer mesh panel across the chest cut from a sweetheart neckline. The back view was stunning. I love the way the simple accessories and understated hair keep all the attention on THAT DRESS!

So, which one is your favourite?
