susanstylesyou tweet2I was recently very flattered to be asked by Manchester Arndale to take part in their first #TweetseatMarch. Basically, I was, along with about a dozen other fashion bloggers, to live tweet, share and blog about Spring/Summer 2013 trends. When I arrived I was impressed by the way everything was set up. We had a roped off area and the most amazing Big Brother style chairs. There was a choice of two colours – one a beautiful vibrant green and the other a striking fuschia. I immediately “bagsied” the green one as sitting in a fuschia chair (not one of my colours) would have seriously given me a headache!

We were shown 4 key trends for this season by Debs Hatfield – cobalt blue, stripes, floral and monochrome – from Next, Superdry and Bank. Debs offers a free Personal Shopping service for Manchester Arndale customers and really knows her stuff! I was particularly impressed with the Next collection – there was so much attention to detail and it looked so much more expensive – my fave was this cute little dress from Next.

In fact, at a fantastic £65,  I think I really must buy it soon. The coral tone was gorgeous and the material was so sumptuous – with a little Mad Men influence thrown in what’s not to love? Superdry was very much about the nautical look with lots of stripes and anchors. Bank was featuring a really trendy new range from Tulisa. Aimed at a 20s age group, monochrome was clearly a big influence and I loved the cute shorts and jacket combo – very Chanel! And this little faux leather jacket is such a bargain at £60. The peplum bit on the bottom actually zips off so you can wear it cropped too – how clever is that? Also, all the lines in this jacket are on the diagonal so very figure flattering!
