Susan’s Style Search – Bridget Appleby

19 Apr

I spotted Bridget having lunch in Australasia in Manchester city centre. I was drawn to her striking but very simple look. Her black and grey outfit and silver jewellery perfectly complemented her cool complexion. I loved her understated make-up and her funky hair style! And what a lovely smile.

When I asked her where she shopped she informed enthusiastically me that all of her outfit was charity shop finds and Ebay discoveries! What a stylish and savvy shopper! Absolute proof that you can look good without spending a fortune.

Bridget made no secret about her age to me and guess what folks? She is 67 years young! She has amazing skin – tell us your secret Bridget? She was delighted to be chosen for Susan’s Style Search and she was very eager to champion mature, elegant ladies.

When I asked her who her style influences were she simply replied “none” and that she preferred to make her own choices. Well Bridget, you are definitely making the right choices!

Bridget Appleby is an award winning art director and creator of a new children’s TV programme “Cloudbabies”. It is a CG animated pre-school series for CBeebies which will be airing on BBC2 from the end of May.
